September 2026 Newsletter

It’s been a quiet month here: the busy summer season has come to a close and we’ve taken some time to decompress before our final few stays of 2026. But that hasn’t stopped our supporters from bringing the energy…

🏃 Great North Run 🏃

Our four fab runners got out on the Toon on Sunday 13th September in their Flynne’s Barn kit and smashed the Great North Run. The weather delivered some unexpected rays and together they raised over £1,600 for the young cancer community.

Did you miss out on the first official ballot for next year (like our Amy 🥲)? Then look no further – we’re taking applications for runners for GNR 2027 and we’d love to have you on board.

🪂 Nicola’s Skydive 🪂

It was postponed twice (upping the nerves!) but eventually Flynne’s aunt, Nicola, jumped out of a plane in memory of Flynne this month. She raised an incredible £1,063 for Flynne’s Barn.

Have you always wanted to take on a skydive? Or maybe you’ve got another bold fundraising idea that you’d like to pitch to us?

🎃 Autumn Stay 🍂

We still have a few spaces available for our Autumn Flynne’s Barn Stay (28th-31st October). There’s a great programme of activities planned, as well as plenty of time to relax and get cosy by the fire.

If you – or a young person you know – is in need of our support and could benefit from everything a residential in the valley has to offer, please get in touch on stay@flynnesbarn.org. As always, all costs are covered.

With best wishes from all of us at Flynne’s Barn (including Nell, of course 👆)
