Music

A creative ‘hub’ has been set up to provide opportunities to explore a range of art materials and musical instruments.

We’ll be inviting many of our talented musical friends to bring their skills to the barn and we’ll link with local musicians in Cumbria who can facilitate music workshops. Shared music-making and simply enjoying music will be a significant part of a stay at Flynne’s Barn.

The hub room is equipped with a variety of musical instruments for you to use. There’s also a surround-sound music system with Bluetooth for D-Jing. Kathy Walton (Meitheal Cheoil, St Patrick’s Troupe, Musicians Without Borders) will help to co-ordinate musical events which will be informal and inclusive irrespective of musical experience.

We can enjoy campfire music in all weathers thanks to our fantastic tipi!

Music is a language through which we can express things that we feel unable to do elsewhere. It's a world we can escape to when we want to lose ourselves. It's a thread to tie people together, to help make new friends and to have a good time.
