Counselling & family support

Free counselling for young people living with cancer* (aged up to 25).

There is so much to deal with after a cancer diagnosis, during treatment, and then when treatment ends. It’s normal to feel overwhelmed and it can be helpful to talk things through with a counsellor. Counselling can make a difference through talking about what’s going on; this can then help to make more sense of things and to make positive plans for coping.

* The counselling service is also available to young people with other conditions that are treated by oncology services.

We realise that the idea of counselling can be daunting, with lots of different questions you may want to ask about our service and about mental health services in general. We appreciate that getting the right information is vital – we can explain how the counselling works before you decide whether you want to go ahead.

All sessions are confidential and can take place online or by phone with qualified counsellors. Why not get in touch?

Family support is also available.

I loved the support that I've received. I've always felt so listened to and never judged. It's been amazing.
